Fall Portraits - What to Wear

After booking your session, the first thing likely on your mind is "What should we all wear?" Followed by a minor panic and inventory run down of what is owned, what fits and what coordinates. And then likely a trip to the mall… but first, Target. I get it.

Coordinating your outfits can be a daunting task, but let me let you in on a little secret… it doesn’t have to be!

  1. Layer it up! Layers create visual interest and will keep you warm and cozy! Think tights, cardigans, blazers, and scarves.

  2. Dress for the location and season. Although you don't want to be all matchy-match, you do want to coordinate. Think about balance. Keep it to 2-3 main hues and develop you color scheme around them.

  3. Accessorize! Pieces like burlap suspenders, flat caps, or a flowery headband for the kids will take your ensemble to the next level of adorable.

A few of my favorite color pairings for fall…
