We started Jaxson's session with a portrait segment. I just love his pure cuteness and expressions. I had a feeling this was going to be a wild session the moment he started climbing props like, "don't worry mom, I got this". I love this age - the exploration, curiosity, and independence. I must admit, sometimes the perfect client comes along at the perfect time and your visions align perfectly. When Jaxson's mom reached out about a cake smash – and, that she wanted to do a "Wild One" theme from the book – I knew this session would be very special. As we worked together on the details, I learned that she was showered with love surrounding the very same theme at her baby shower! I think it's so fun that she celebrated Jaxson's first birthday as the "King of All Wild Things", and it absolutely matches his personality in every best way.
