.spread your wings and dance.

Little Ms. Keira came to see me for her 6th birthday photo shoot. That's right, every year I get to plan and document her birthday milestone. This year I learned that she's very much into the same favorite color as me! (teal). I also found out she's really into the store Justice. I went in there once... wow. I'm just not ready for her to be grown up. So with the freedom to plan her session, I went with "less is more". A butterfly theme was more than the perfect fit, it represents a beautiful and delicate little girl growing up and following her dreams. Did I mention she's my niece?

On a plain teal backdrop I cut and applied butteries to add a little dimension. Her outfit was paired to match the set (thank you Target for making that so easy). And for a little extra fun, I made butterfly confetti in coordinating colors!

She danced, and giggled, and played with confetti. I'd say she really enjoyed the session, wouldn't you?
